01Information we handle

When you use the farmer app, we handle your phone number, account identifier, name, and preferred language. Your farm records include farm names, boundary coordinates, calculated acreage, and any current crop you choose to record.

If you allow the app to use your location, it helps you find your position on the map. The boundaries you choose to save are stored as part of your farm records. You can use the map without granting location access.

When you email Sutra, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message, such as a question, account details, or payment reference.

02How we use information

We use account information to verify sign-in, maintain your profile, and show the app in your chosen language. We use farm information to save and display your fields, calculate their area, and check whether a farm is within our service area.

Information you send to support is used to answer your request, investigate issues, or arrange a refund. Authorized Sutra administrators can access profiles and farm records to operate and support the service.

03Service providers and sharing

Sutra uses Google Firebase Authentication for phone verification and Google Maps for mapping features. Google processes phone numbers for authentication and to prevent spam and abuse; map requests are also handled by Google. These providers apply their own privacy policies to information they process.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers process information needed to deliver and maintain the service. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information.

04Website data and cookies

This public website does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, a sign-in form, or a payment form. Hosting providers may process basic connection information, such as an IP address and requested page, to serve and secure the website.

The farmer app uses authentication information to keep you signed in. Clicking an email link opens your email application; it does not submit a form to this website.

05Your choices and information requests

You can update your name and language, edit farm boundaries and crop records, delete farms, and control location permissions through the app or your device settings.

Contact Sutra using the details on our Contact page to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.

06Retention, security, and updates

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, handle support and refund requests, or meet applicable legal requirements. No internet service can guarantee absolute security; keep your verification codes private and report suspected account misuse.
